Schmalz improved a new needle gripper for Jumbo Ergo lifter. It allow to handle large air-permeable components safe and ergonomic.
This gripper can handle up to 100 kg. He consists of two ir four needle modules. The needle gripper has a modular aluminium construction and can thus be aindivdually adapted to different applications.
Schmalz pays particular attention to safety for the user: the gripper detects whether it has a workpiece under the needles, the operator has to confirm the release of the load twice, and switching flags always show the position of the metal tips.
